This care is provided in an institutional setting to patients having severe distressing symptoms.

Generally, patients facing unmanageable pain, breathlessness or other physical symptoms and needing round-the-clock medical supervision are admitted to our In-Patient facility.

Patients with severe psychological and emotional distress are also admitted for better counselling.

Sometimes, a patient can be admitted for few days only to provide respite to the family and help them rest and recover from the caregiver fatigue or burnout they may be facing.

Patients with advanced cancer, having no one to look after, are also admitted.

This In-Patient Care is provided by a team consisting of doctors, nurses, social workers & counsellors, all of whom are fully trained in Palliative Care.

This care is provided at home of the patient by a team consisting of a Doctor, a Nurse and a Social Worker or a Counsellor, all of whom are trained in Palliative Care.

This care is suitable for all patients having distressing symptoms, irrespective of whether they are on active treatment or they are in a situation where no further curative treatment is possible.

It is suitable for patients needing palliative care but for some reasons do not wish to get admitted for In-Patient Care nor are they in position to come to our Out-Patient Clinic.

It is ideally suited for patients wanting palliative care at home, in company of their supportive family and loved ones.

However, it is not recommended for patients having very severe distressing symptoms, needing round-the-clock supervision.

The home care team not only attends to physical, psychosocial and emotional concerns of the patient, it also spends a lot of time addressing similar concerns of family members as well.

This care is provided in the Out-Patient Clinics of our institution.

It is suitable for patients whose distressing symptoms are not very severe and if the patient is able to commute to the center.

It is ideally suited for patients having distressing symptoms while on curative or sustenance treatment at hospitals.

During this visit, patient is attended to by our doctors, the nursing staff and the counselling staff as well. Dressing of cancer wounds is done and medicines for the next ten days are given.
